Judith Johnson

Judith Johnson, age 60, passed away September 17, 2011 at her home in Grants Pass.

She was born Judith Marie Bigelow in Grants Pass, Oregon on March 3rd to Russel & Virginia Bigelow. Her family moved to Williams in 1957.

Judy graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1969 and received her teaching degree at Southern Oregon College. Judy taught in Maupin, John Day and then Grants Pass where she eventually retired from North Valley High School.

In 1977 Judy married Carlton Johnson, their son Sean Johnson was born in 1979.

Judy was an incredibly loving and devoted wife, mother and friend. In their retirement Judy and her husband Carl built their dream house where she spent much of her time decorating, scrapbooking and quilt making. Judy was an avid reader and photographer. Judy also spent much of her free time maintaining her flowers and gardens, loving and caring for her pets and nurturing her family and friendships.

Judy is survived by her husband Carlton, her son Sean, stepsons K.C. Johnson, Kerry Johnson, Kelly Johnson and their children whom she considered her own, her mother Virginia Bigelow, brother Bill Bigelow and his wife Sue, brother Greg Bigelow and his wife Cindy. In addition Judy leaves behind numerous friends and extended family that she cared for deeply.
