Josie Michelle Holman, age 35, of Grants Pass, died Friday, January 31, 2020 at Oregon Health Sciences University Hospital as the result of a severe asthma attack.
Josie was born February 29, 1984 to Fred M. and Teresa E. (Healey) Holman in Grants Pass, Oregon. After attending school in Glendale and Grants Pass; Josie earned an Associate of Arts degree from Rogue Community College and a degree in Music Engineering at the Berkley School of Music.
Josie shared her love of music as a singer, writer, artist, entertainer, vocal producer and was known as Holographic Girl. Her greatest love were her daughters, Novaya and Amara. Josie homeschooled her daughters for several years and they loved exploring nature and art projects; and encouraged her daughters to honor and nurture their strengths.
Josie enjoyed being a member of Southern Oregon Hip-Hop community, gardening, painting, writing poetry and songs, and singing.
Survivors include her daughters Novaya Jayde (12) and Amara Ruby (10); parents Fred and Terry Holman; and brother Samuel Holman.
A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 12, 2020 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
