Joseph Paul Fregoso

Joseph Paul Fregoso, age 89, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, October 10, 2012 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Joe was born October 25, 1922 in San Francisco, California to Hipolito & Dolores Fregoso. He was raised in San Jose, California. During World War II he served in the United States Army and was active in the European African Middle Eastern Campaign. On November 8, 1953 in Las Vegas, Nevada he married Josephine Ann Collins. He retired from the California State Correctional Facility in Soledad, California as a correctional officer. In 1981 he moved from Gonzales, California to Selma, Oregon and in 2007 he moved from Selma to Grants Pass.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, and working on his acreage and orchard.

Joe is survived by his wife, Josephine Fregoso of Grants Pass, Oregon; a son, Paul Fregoso of Fresno, California; a sister, Elvera Codekas of La Quinta, California; and one granddaughter.
