John Luther Coelho

John L. Coelho of O’Brien, Oregon passed away, Monday, February 1, 2021 at home from heart failure.

John was born in Long Beach, CA on March 4, 1951. He lived the majority of his life in Sunny
Southern California. John graduated from John F. Kennedy High School, La Palma, CA in 1969.

John is survived by his wife, Kathleen Coelho of Grants Pass, OR, his father Manuel Coelho of Sweet Home, OR, two sons, John Coelho Jr of Texas and Branndon L. Coelho of Florida, his three granddaughters, Bella Coelho, Whitney Coelho, and Emma Coelho, his brothers, Manuel Coelho Jr, Daniel Coelho, Frank Coelho, David Coelho and Stephen Coelho.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Carolyn Delores Coelho.

John loved life! His family and friends were everything to him. Someone was always eager to
share a great story about John. His smile lit up the room and he gave the biggest and most
authentic hugs. John was gifted with a delightful sense of humor and he used it well with others. To know him, was to love him.

At an early age John took a significant interest in cars. Learning the skill from his Father,
becoming a mechanic was second nature to him. In high school he was the guy that would fix
his buddies cars...and he happily did so. Another of his hobbies was horticulture. John learned
this skill as a young person and his family-owned plant nurseries and Christmas tree farms.
John was a gift to the lives that he touched.

As restrictions lift, a celebration of John's life will be held. Date to be determined.
