John Charles Sims

John C. Sims, 72, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, April 30, 2006 at his home.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

He was born April 30, 1934 in Crockett, Texas the youngest of five children.
He was a commercial and residential carpenter. He loved to work with his hands – a true craftsman in his work. In 1988 he moved from Coatesville, Pennsylvania to Grants Pass.

He loved his family and friends and was always there for anyone when he was needed. He was down to earth, honest, and a perfectionist.

He was an artist and enjoyed sketching, sculpting, and carving.

Survivors include a daughter, Deborah Todor and son-in-law, Fran Todor; two sisters, Effie Godwin and Shirley Gordon; three grandchildren, Christy Gavlik, Joshua Todor, and Jessica Todor; four great-grandchildren, Christian, Jacob, Matthew, and Victoria.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother; a sister, and his former wife.
