Joe Bob Williams passed away peacefully at home on February 19th, 2020 with his family by his side.
Joe Bob was born in Fort Smith Arkansas on March 2, 1929 the first born to Virgil and Hallie Williams.
He served in the Air Force from 1947 to 1950 in the Korean War then was called back to service as an Active Air Force Reserve he was deployed to Okinawa Japan he was stationed at Kadena Air force base from 1950 to 1953.
He moved his family to Gold Hill Oregon in 1964 from Cortez Colorado.
Joe Bob was employed by Brotherton Pipeline before starting his own company W. Construction. He worked for the City of Rogue River public works department for many years, he was also a volunteer caretaker / grave digger of the Woodville Cemetery in Rogue River Oregon.
Joe Bob is survived by his daughters Beverly (Steven)Phoenix, Deborah Jo Central Point, and Diana Grants Pass, sister Hallie Cummings (Heather) White City.
He has six grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brothers Melvin, Raymond, Charles, sisters Rosalie, Marybeth, and a Granddaughter Robin.
Joe Bob’s family would like to give thanks to everyone for their support during this journey.
He will be greatly missed anyone who knew him would agree he was the toughest man they had ever known and an amazing Backhoe operator.
His celebration of life will be at Hull and Hull in Grants Pass Oregon on February 29th at 1:00 o’clock pm.
Then laid to rest at the Eagle Point National Cemetery.
