JoAnn Hecox, age 62, of Grants Pass, died Monday, November 2, 2015 at her home.
A memorial service will be at 3:30 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Stake Center on Williams Highway. Interment will be at 1:00 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2015 at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
JoAnn was born December 26, 1952 in Medford, Oregon to Joseph Farrien & Mary Anona (Stanger) Jensen. In 1971 she graduated from Medford Senior High School. She moved to Grants Pass and attended Rogue Community College and graduated in 1988 with a degree in nursing. JoAnn worked at local nursing homes and in home health as an LPN and medically retired many years ago.
She was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Murphy Creek Ward and also enjoyed attending the Redwood Ward.
JoAnn loved her grandsons very much.
Survivors include her sister, Jannette Nielson of Central Point; her brother, Farrien Jensen of Phoenix, Oregon; Many, many cousins, nieces and nephews; Uncles, Davis Stanger, George Stanger and Phillip Stanger and an Aunt, Norma Shipp.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry On October 10, 2013 and a daughter, Jennifer on September 16, 2013.
