Joan Fields

Joan Fields, age 74, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at her home.

A family service will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Joan was born July 22, 1939 in Centrahoma, Oklahoma. When she was still a small child, she moved with her mother, Sadie Cogburn to Coalgate, Oklahoma. She graduated from Coalgate High School in 1958. In spring of 1957 Joan met and started dating, Carl Edward Fields and they were married on November 21, 1958 in Atoka, Oklahoma. She became a homemaker and mother to her three children. The family moved from Coalgate to Richmond, California and in 1964 moved to Grants Pass, Oregon.

Joan enjoyed reading, cooking, word puzzles, fishing and hunting.

Joan is survived by her husband, Carl Fields of Grants Pass, Oregon; three children, Carla Ann Fields, Kenneth Ray Fields, and Robert Edward Fields all of Grants Pass, Oregon; five grandchildren, Tyler Fields, Kody Fields, Melissa Fields, Sara Fields and Cory Fields; four great-grandchildren, Jaden, Titus, Brandon, and Makayla; and one sister, Sherolyn Kelly of Grants Pass, Oregon.

She was preceded in death by five siblings, Nelson Haney, Tod Haney, Jonalla Hartline, Cappy Fitts, and Mary Johnston.
