Joan Combs

Joan Combs, age 95, of Medford, died Saturday, August 21, 2010.

Joan was born April 15, 1915 in Sioux City, Iowa to C.J. & Johana van Oosbree. On September 3, 1935 she married Lewis Allen Bombs. To this union was born James Lewis (deceased), Janice Batten, Jeanine Salyer, Jackie McKenney, and Joan Rita Anderson.

Joan was a Sunday school teacher, choir member, and treasurer of women’s ministry. She worked at Essex Wire and General Dynamics making the wiring for cars and jets. She moved from San Diego, California to Medford 9 years ago.

She was a member of Bethel Church at Vista Pointe.

She was a wonderful mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother.

Her hobbies included crocheting, reading, telling family history and stories.

Interment will be at Greenwood Memorial Park in San Diego, California.
