Jed Bruce

Jed Bruce, age 76, of Grants Pass, died Friday, July 18, 2014 at Arbor House.

Family services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Jed was born December 22, 1937 in London, England. He grew up in London and during World War II he spent a lot of time in bomb shelters before finally being sent to the country to avoid the bomb attacks. He later served in the English military. For many years he was an electrician, traveling to different places to work, including Australia, Canada, Bahamas, and England. In 1988 he moved from Texas to Grants Pass. He worked as a realtor for Sherm Heater Realty as well as other jobs in the area. On April 24, 1992 in Grants Pass he married his wife, Lila.

His hobbies included reading, traveling, and working around his home. He loved animals especially his two dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Lila Bruce of Grants Pass, Oregon; two stepdaughters, Sharon Hutchins of Boise, Idaho and Glenda Coston of Grants Pass, Oregon; two brothers, Christopher Gibbins of England and Dennis Gibbins of Sommerset, England; six step-grandchildren; and ten step-great-grandchildren.
