Jeanette B. Brown

Jeanette B Brown, age 78, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, September 7, 2016 at her home.

A viewing will be from 12:30 p.m. to 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Relief Society Room.

A funeral service will begin at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, September 14, 2016 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 1969 William Highway, Grants Pass. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens with bagpipes by Murray Huggins.

She was born to John and Emma (Huntsman) Burningham Jr on April 6, 1938 in Inglewood, California. She attended Brigham Young University in Provo, Utah. Jeanette enjoyed her many work experiences including baby delivery, counselor in a boy’s home, dental office manager and communications firm.

She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and attended the Riverside Ward. Her many callings in the church included Relief Society president. Jeanette was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers.

Hobbies included garage sales, thrift stores and antique stores. Taking after her father, she enjoyed her many friendships as people were frequently drawn to her. She enjoyed raising her children and being with her grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter, Donna Pallett of Northridge, California; two sons, Carl Brown of Grants Pass and John Brown of Walnut Creek, California; five grandchildren; and her former husband, Donald Dean Brown of Pleasant Hill, California.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Leeann Holma in 2015.
