Jean Paterson

Jeanette “Jean” Paterson, age 79, of Grants Pass, died peacefully, Thursday, June 19, 2008, at her home surrounded by her loving husband, family and friends after her year-long battle with cancer.

A memorial service will be at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 28, 2008, at Hull & Hull Chapel with The Reverend John McDonald officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Jean was born July 5, 1928, in Kenosha, Wisconsin.

Jean was a caring friend to the community as a loyal volunteer at Three Rivers Community Hospital and a member of the Crimson Jewels, a chapter of the Red Hat Society.

She had many hobbies and accomplishments throughout her life. She lived a full life that included many travels around the world, but her favorite place to spend her time was Mexico with very dear friends Jerry & Mary Bynum and Bill & Bev McVey.

She will be remembered as a devoted wife, an amazing mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will always be cherished for bringing her family and friends together hosting monthly dinner parties.

Survivors include her husband of 34 years, Pat Paterson of Grants Pass; six children, Barb, Donna, Cyndi, Don, Mark, Rick; 18 grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren.

Jean will be enormously missed. The knowledge and strength she has passed along to so many will be held close forever.
