Jean Ione Walker, age 78, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, May 15, 2011 at her home.
Private services are pending at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Jean was born July 8, 1932 in Huron, South Dakota to Glenn & Esther McKinney. After graduating from high school, she enlisted in the United States Air Force. She was stationed near Deadwood, South Dakota where she met and married her soul mate of 52 years, Jack Allen Walker on October 30, 1953. She then resigned from the service and became a full time military wife and mother to their three children. In 1976 she moved from Roseville, California to Grants Pass.
She enjoyed reading, ceramics, crossword puzzles, traveling to the Oregon coast with her “honey,” and visiting with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include two daughters, Lee Ann (Bud) and Patty (Rick); a granddaughter, Sabrina; three grandsons, Brandon, Kyle and Kirk; eight great-grandchildren and a sister, Patricia Kolojeski.
She was preceded in death by her soul mate, Jack; a son, Steve; a brother, Robert; and her parents, Glenn and Esther.
