James L. Brink, age 65, of Rogue River, died Thursday, January 6, 2011 at his home.
A Celebration of Life will be from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m., Sunday, January 16, 2011 at the V.F.W. Hall in Rogue River. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

James was born September 1, 1945 in Bellflower, California to Charles & Bertha Brink. In 1963 he graduated from Bellflower High School. In 1964 he married Barbara Taylor and in 2006 they divorced. James worked for Union Oil Dominguez Oil fields for five years. He then worked for a year as a firefighter for the Stanton Fire Department. From 1969 to 1984 he worked as a firefighter and paramedic for Los Angeles County Fire Department retiring as an engineer. In 1984 he moved from Summit Valley, California to Rogue River.
James was a member of the California State Fireman’s Association. He volunteered as a firefighter in Summit Valley.
His hobbies included waterskiing, camping, restoring old cars and houses, and building houses.
Survivors include his former wife, Barbara Brink; a son, Brian Brink and wife Kristen all of Klamath Falls, Oregon; two brothers, Danny Stone of Ravensdale, Washington and Delmar Brink of Grants Pass, Oregon; three grandchildren, Jordan Brink of Grants Pass, Oregon and Kyle and Nathan Brink of Klamath Falls, Oregon.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Bertha Stone; a sister, MaryAnn Hefner; his father, Charles d. Brink; and his stepfather, JD Stone.
