James Leon Patterson

James Leon Patterson, age 69, of Cave Junction, died December 31, 2016 at Regency Care Rogue Valley.

James was born April 18, 1947 in Sisters, Oregon to Guy & Ima Patterson. He grew up and attended schools in Cloverdale, California and graduated from Cloverdale High School. For 40 years, he lived in Alaska and for 30 years worked as a longshoreman in Anchorage. In October 2015, he moved to Cave Junction.

James enjoyed poker, hunting, halibut fishing, trapping, and other outdoor activities.

Survivors include two sisters, Vikki Patterson and Bobbi Inman both of Cave Junction.

No services are planned. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
