James Almon "Jim" Hiltbruner

James Almon “Jim” Hiltbruner, age 74, of Grants Pass, died Friday, July 1, 2011 at his home.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, July 23, 2011 at Calvary Lutheran Church, corner of A and Anderson. Refreshments will follow. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Memorial donations may be made to Southern Oregon Humane Society, 2910 Table Rock Road, Medford Oregon 97501.

Jim was born June 2, 1937 in Seattle, Washington to Almon & Faye Hiltbruner. At the end of the Korean War he enlisted in the United States Air Force. He moved from California to Grants Pass in 1975. He was employed by numerous businesses in the Grants Pass area as well as in Arizona and California. On April 22, 2007 he married Jan Shine.

His hobbies included fishing and talking on the CB radio. He loved dancing, listening to country music and animals.

Survivors include his wife, Janeece “Jan” Hiltbruner; four daughters, Cindy Hiltbruner and Jaimie Hiltbruner, both of Mesa, Arizona, Michelle Meyers of St. Charles, Missouri and Nicole Tibbits of Grants Pass; a sister, Karen Hiltbruner of Seattle, Washington; two brothers, Don Hiltbruner of Kent, Washington and Carl Hiltbruner of Seattle, Washington and 12 grandchildren.

Preceding him in death was a daughter, Deborah Forster and former wife, Jeanette Hiltbruner.
