Jadyn Noelle Burkhead-Moreno

June 30, 2007 — April 30, 2020

Jadyn Noelle Darylee Burkhead-Moreno, was born June 30, 2007 in Roseville, California and died April 30, 2020 in Grants Pass, Oregon.

From her Mama: Jadyn was so passionate about life. She lit up any room she walked into, from her infectious laughter to her warm spirit, you couldn’t help but be drawn to her. When she sang her voice was so beautiful, it could bring tears to your eyes. It was so angelic. Jade was a top student at Brighton Academy & absolutely loved all she did there, especially the haunted house & school play. She was an incredible artist. She could paint, draw or create just about anything. Her hair was one of our favorite art projects. Almost weekly she would create the most beautiful colors. She loved to ride her longboard and go for sunset bike rides. Jade was a big-time jokester and loved to make people laugh. She was protective of many, but a big-time bodyguard to her baby sister, Emma, and best friend, Gianna.

Not only could she sing, but she was an impressive dancer. She could out dance just about anybody she came across. She was passionate about everything she did. Jade loved to help others, especially the underdog. She had a heart bigger than her little body could contain.

She loved sushi dates with her Mama, sleepovers with her besties, make overs with her sisters, vacations with her family, summers in Sacramento with her Wawa and Papa, aunties and uncles, and cousins. She loved boating, zip lining, and rides in “her jeep”. There are no words to express the depth of loss, no amount of time will make this better. Her passion & zeal for life are unmatchable. Until we meet again, my heart will be shattered.

From her Collin’s Family: To dive into life headfirst, then see if it’s deep enough, Jadyn knew no other way. Passion, fire and love coursed through her veins, and all who have known her knew it! Jadyn was an outgoing and charismatic young lady. Her passions included art in nearly every facets; music, dancing, family and friends. If you were lucky enough to be her friend you were family and family was everything. Jadyn protected her family adamantly. She found a second family and home with her best friend and sister Gianna, Drake, Uncle Josh, and Auntie Sarah, whom she will forever be a part of! Her love was infectious and so was her laugh, both were done without restraint no matter the situation. Be it at school where she attended Brighton Academy, or on the soccer field, track events, volleyball court or the dance floor. Her zeal for life knew no bounds. Jadyn was the type of person who accepted everyone for who they were, and wasn’t one to ever judge. She was a light in the darkness in which her flame burns bright!

All that is written can’t do justice to the unbelievable, fascinating, tender hearted young lady that she truly was. Only those who knew her are privileged enough to carry on a memory of her in their minds, and love of her in their hearts.

Survivors include her parents: Sadie Burkhead & Drew Moreno; sisters & brothers: Kirsten & brother-in-law Corbin, Emma, Drew, D’Angelo & Brianna; grandparents: Reggie & Mindy Burkhead; great-grandparents: Pat & Gail Maness; aunts & uncles: Patsy & Mel Sisneros, Lindsay & Justin Mendonca, Darcie & Frankie Remeneski, and Brooke & Tim Hodges; and her bonus family: Josh, Sarah, Drake & Gianna Collins.

Jadyn named the pandemic "Crappy Covid"...her family is planning a celebration of Jadyn's life after the Crappy Covid restrictions have been lifted.
