Jacqueline W. Gililland

Jacqueline W. Gililland, age 83, of Rogue River, died Monday, November 28, 2011 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Private services and interment will be at Woodville Cemetery in Rogue River. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Jacqueline was born March 6, 1928 in Prescott, Arizona to Earl & Alva Shride. Her childhood years were spent at Congress, Arizona. She completed high school and graduated from nursing school at Los Angles, California. On September 22, 1945 at the family home in Congress Junction, Arizona she married William Clyde Gililland. Much of her nursing career was spent in the Pacific Northwest and Alaska.

Jacqueline was an avid reader and loved the great outdoors.

Survivors include two daughters, Sheila Dickson of Yreka, California and Shauna Meek of Rogue River, Oregon; seven grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Gililland; a daughter, Carolyn who died in infancy; and a son, Don Gililland in 2009.
