Iola Williams Prinkleton

Iola Williams Prinkleton, age 71, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, August 12, 2009 at her home.

Private interment was held at Eagle Point National Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Iola Williams was born April 10, 1938 in Docena, Alabama to Robert Burt Williams & Lila Odell (Fields) Williams. She was the fourth child of seven children and and was raised in Docena. She graduated from Westfield High School. On September 26, 1958 in Birmingham, Alabama she married Harold C. Prinkleton. They later separated after having four children. She moved from Oxnard, California to Grants Pass.

She gave of herself and taught her children and others the true understanding of the Bible. Her love and devotion for our creator, Jehovah, was passed on to her children and grandchildren.

Iola was a member of the Wiliams Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. She volunteered as a a Bible teacher.

She enjoyed reading, crocheting, and singing.

Survivors include her husband, Harold C. Prinkleton of Oxnard, California; four children, Harolyn Odell Abraham of Oxnard, California, La Frances Bowers of Fresno, California, Harold Thomas Prinkleton of Oxnard, California and Sheri J. Cossens of Grants Pass; two sisters, Cliffard Mae Cabbel of Michigan and Althia Harrison of Alabama; a brother, Claude Williams of New York; and five grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, and three brothers, Robert Jr. Williams, Johnny Williams and George Williams.
