In 1950, a baby girl named Ilona was born to Getrude and Ludwig Inkofer in Regensburg, Germany, and she went on to excel in school, including a trade school for girls. She and her brother, Peter, grew up in Germany.
Ilona leveraged her training and education to provide secretarial services in several industries, including an insurance agency near Miramar Airforce base, and later provided administrative and payroll support for local national employees on a military base overseas. She was well-loved by her coworkers and formed life-long friendships.
In her free time, Ilona loved to read. She also enjoyed winning at games of chance like Yahtzee and Uno.
Ilona raised two children from her first marriage, Sarah and Jeremiah, and has two grandchildren, Thomas and Benjamin. She later married James Lintner and they were together until she passed away on 20 June 2022.
We hope she knows how well she was loved and will keep the light on for us.
