Ila Mae Breshears, age 89, of Rogue River, died Monday, December 3, 2012 at Asante Three Rivers Medical Center.
A Memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m., Friday, December 7, 2012 at North Valley Assembly of God Church with Pastor Curt Thorne officiating. Private interment will be at Woodville Cemetery in Rogue River. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Ila was born November 15, 1923 in Casper, Wyoming to Earl & Myrtle Gerry. She graduated from Casper High School in 1941. On June 7, 1941 in Wyoming she married Harvey Jolly. In 1941 she and her husband moved from Casper to Ogden, Utah. After her husband enlisted in the United States Navy, they moved to San Diego, California and later divorced. Ila moved from San Diego to Omak, Washington in 1947 where she lived until 2004. On June 14, 1964 in Cour d’Alene she married Ivan N. Breshears who preceded her in death January 11, 1978. For 20 years she worked as Deputy Treasurer for Okanogan County, retiring in 1988. She was engaged to a minister during the 90’s and was active with his ministry. In 2004 she moved to Rogue River where she has lived since.
She attended Rogue River Assembly of God Church and later the North Valley Assembly of God Church.
Her hobbies included crocheting, playing the piano, organ, guitar, accordion and traveling especially to the Holy Lands where she visited eight times.
Survivors include two daughters, Judith Jolly of Surprise, Arizona and Vicki West of Rogue River; a son, David Jolly of Mesa, Arizona; a brother, Dorwin Gerry of Loveland, Colorado; 10 grandchildren, 19 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
