Herman Trott

Herman “Jack” Trott, 69, of Grants Pass, died Friday, April 20, 2007 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

Memorial services will be at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, April 30, 2007 at Hull & Hull Chapel. Southern Oregon Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

He was born on December 16, 1937 in Los Banos, California to Herman and Hazel Trott. He grew up and attended school in Southern California. He served in the U.S. Navy in both Guam and Guadalcanal. He was a sergeant of the detective bureau with the Fountain Valley, California police department for 20 years. On July 4, 1960 in Newport Beach, California he married Sharon Pattison, who preceded him in death. The family moved to Grants Pass in 1976 from Anaheim, California. He was presently employed by Southwick Speciality Advertising and enjoyed many Grants Pass clients.

He enjoyed hunting and camping and was an expert river rafter.

Survivors include his son, Jeffery Trott of Grants Pass; his daughter, Shelley Schutt of Sacramento, California; stepdaughter, Jennifer Reams of Grants Pass; his sister, Joan Pickle of Buena Park, California; and one grandchild
