Helene Kay Crump

Helene Kay Crump, age 86, of Grants Pass, died June 1, 2021 at Oak Lane.

Helene was born February 9, 1935 in Cleveland, Ohio to Robert Jerome Williams & Johanna Cornelia Kruithof Williams. She graduated from Garfield High School in East Los Angeles, California. After graduation she joined the United States Army and served in Germany. After he honorable discharge, she returned home to attend college. In 1956 she married Joe Crump and together they had four children. For 28 years she worked with Joe at Criterion Gates and Manufacturing. After retirement they moved from Whittier, California to Grants Pass in 1990.

In 1995, she joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Helen enjoyed volunteering with Toys For Tots donating toys for the Christmas season and to youth groups.

She enjoyed sending birthday and anniversary cards to members of the church, family and friends.

Survivors include her husband Joe Crump; four children Mark Crump, Stacy Hames, Lauren Warlick and Clark Crump; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be at 9:15 a.m., June 8, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center.

A funeral service will begin at 10:00 a.m., June 8, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center. Private interment will be at Eagle Point National Cemetery.
