Harvey Schrom

Harvey Schrom, age 72, or Glendale, died July 14, 2022 in Glendale.

Harvey was born July 19, 1949 in Cobleskill, New York to Harvey Schrom & Mattie Margaret Parker Schrom. After living in Seattle Washington, he moved to Glendale 48 years ago.

In the early 1970’s, Harvey owned and operated his own service station. Through the years he worked for Fenimore Fabrics in Cobleskill, New York, Robert Dollar Lumber, Gregory Lumber, and Crowman Sawmill where he was millwright supervisor until it’s closure. He then worked as a millwright for Swanson Group until his retirement. Harvey still worked his side jobs tilling gardens with his tractor for many people in the Glendale Area.

Harvey met his wife, Lynda Maria Gallego in Seattle and they married July 2, 1969.

Along with Larry and Lynne Diltz, Harvey was a member of Glendale Cemetery Association and volunteered his time to maintain the cemetery for over 20 years and served as vice president for 15 years.

His hobbies included fishing, hunting, camping, panning for gold, going to NASCAR races, and fixing up old cars.

Survivors include his wife Lynda Schrom of Glendale; two daughters Shanna Schrom Nolan (Ray) of Medford and Danielle Schrom Ring of Glendale; one son David Stevens of Seattle; five grandsons Colten and Chase Munyon, Tanner, Tyler, and Braeden Ring; one granddaughter Makynna Nolan; great-granddaughter Ayla May Munyon; sisters Gloria Munson of Worcester, New York, Johanna Schrom of Maryland, New York, Mary Loehr of Maryland, New York, and Bridget Degruchy of North Carolina; and brother Burton Barton Jr of Myrtle Creek.

He is preceded in death by his son Tony Harvey Schrom; grandson Conner Dean Munyon; his parents; and his sisters Lola Mould, Elaine Gaylor, Freda Koncilik, and Peggy Duncan.

A memorial service will be at 11:00 a.m., July 30, 2022 at Springer-Martin House, 7331 Azalea Road, Glendale with Pastor Terry Bess officiating.
