Harry Raymond Hartmann

Harry R. Hartmann, age 80, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Royale Gardens Health & Rehabilitation Center.

A Celebration of Life Open House will be held from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m., Saturday, May 28, 2011 at 285 Ave de Teresa, Grants Pass. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Josephine County, 31 W. Sixth St, Medford Oregon 97501.

Harry was born on December 5, 1930 in Brooklyn New York to Diedrich & Alice Hartmann. He served in the United States Navy on a submarine. He was a member of the California Civil Air Patrol for seven years. After 26 years with the Los Angeles City Fire Department he retired. He moved from Los Angeles to Medford. He finished his working career as a Jackson County Fire Commissioner, District 5 where he was for 12 years.

His favorite hobbies were traveling, boating, fishing and wood working.

Survivors include his wife, Marlo C. Hartmann, two stepchildren, a grandson and his wife and two great-grandchildren.
