Harris T. Stout

Harris T. Stout, age 100, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, December 20, 2014 at Norris Adult Foster Home.

Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Harris was born May 28, 1914 in North Dakota to Harry & Ada Stout, the oldest of three boys. In 1938 he joined the United States Air Force. He and his wife, Barbara lived all over the country, including Hawaii during that time. Barbara was also in the military working as a nurse. After he left the service, the family moved to Grants Pass in 1970. He was a great library user and managed an apartment building while Barbara worked at Josephine Memorial Hospital until her death in 2002.

Survivors include three granddaughters and three great-grandchildren.

In addition to his wife, Barbara, he was preceded in death by his son, Jon Stout who died at age 49 in 2002.
