Harold Lawless, 65, of Grants Pass, Oregon died at home with his family on Saturday May 27, 2006. A memorial service will be held at Parkway Christian Church on Thursday June 1 at 10:00 am with a graveside service immediately following at Hillcrest Memorial Park. A celebration of his life will be held at the Spencer Family home, 3586 Williams Hwy following the graveside service.
Harold was born in Oakland, CA on August 25, 1940 and has lived in Grants Pass since 1942. He was the son of the late Thomas and Grace Lawless. On October 2, 1963 he married Beverly J. Silva. Harold was a logger and roofer and retired from Stone Forest Industries as a mill worker after 27 years. For the past 6 years he operated the Pro Shop at Caveman Bowl.
In addition to his beautiful wife, survivors include: Six daughters, Terrie Figueroa and Sandi Plunkett, both of Sacramento, CA; Linda White, of Eagle, Idaho; Lisa Solomon, Lori Brumble, and Leann Haven, all of Grants Pass; two brothers, Everett and Lewis Lawless, both of Grants Pass; five sisters, Lisa Moe of Chico, CA; Betty Baker of Brookings, OR; Donna Butler and Barbara O’Duane, both of Grants Pass; and Iva Kovatch of Redding, CA; eleven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews.
Throughout his life, Harold was an avid bowler and sportsman, enjoying hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed spending time and working on his brother and nephew’s ranch.
