Harold E. “Hal” Haines, age 88, of Rogue River, died Wednesday, April 9, 2014 at Laurel Hill Nursing Center.
A viewing will be from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Thursday, April 17, 2014 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
Private interment will be at Hillcrest Memorial Park.
Harold was born April 2, 1926 in Tujunga, California to Jason & Anna Haines. He graduated from Verdugo Hills High School. On November 7, 1948 in Tujunga he married Dorothy G. Howe. He moved from Granada Hills, California to Rogue River 42 years ago. He worked as a heavy equipment operator until his retirement.
Harold was a member of Operating Engineers – Local Union #12.
His hobbies included operating equipment, hunting, and family gatherings. He was a loving husband and father.
In addition to his wife, Dorothy G. Haines of Rogue River, Oregon, Harold is survived by three children, Norma J. MacLeod, Ronald E. Haines, and Allan G. Haines; a brother, Frank B. Haines; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a brother, Jason C. Haines and a sister, Adeline B. Taylor.
