Gus “Fast Freddy” Fuson
April 19, 1942 – January 25, 2025
Gus Fredrick Fuson passed away January 25, 2025 at home with family at his side at the age of 82. He was born April 19, 1942 in Tishomingo, Oklahoma as a proud member of the Chickasaw Nation. His life was full of family, love and adventure. Gus is survived by his wife Carolyn, their 4 children, 16 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, his sister Sally and sister-in-law Koral, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Gus married Bobbie in Las Vegas in 1961 and together they raised three beautiful daughters: Denise, Tina and Darbie. He worked as an electrician all over the country, including the Alaska Pipeline, the Dunes Hotel on the Las Vegas strip, the Nevada Test Site and the notorious Area 51.
Gus was fortunate to find love for a second time with Carolyn which included her 2 children: Mike and Teresa. They married in 1988 and after 10 years living in the California Bay Area settled in Rogue River, Oregon where they lived for the last 26 years. G’s Ranch was Gus’ happy place featuring an extended family of rabbits, goats and chickens as well as family and friends!
Gus was a man of few words with a big heart and an accepting nature, so simple a grandchild can operate!
A celebration of Gus’ life will be held at the Grandparents Ranch at a later date. Details to follow.
