Gregorio "Greg" Saiz Hernandez

Gregorio “Greg” Saiz Hernandez, age 100, passed away on Saturday, April 21, 2012, in Sacramento, CA.

He was born on November 28, 1911 in Pecos, TX.

Greg was an expert plasterer, working in the construction industry for over 40 years, and was a long standing member of Plasterers Union Local 224, in San Jose, CA.

Greg was preceded in death by his wife, Connie Hernandez, and they lived in Rogue River from 1995 to 2002, and Greg continued living in Rogue River until 2008 after Connie's death in 2002.

He loved fishing, and was an avid San Francisco Giants fan since the team’s move to California in 1957. He also loved playing bingo, poker, dancing, trips to Reno and Lake Tahoe and was happiest when surrounded by his family. He will be sorrowfully missed by his children and many grandchildren, nieces, nephews, & friends.

Funeral services for Greg were held on April 28th at St. Anne’s Catholic Church, with burial following at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens, in Grants Pass.
