Grace Elizabeth “Betty” Bray, age 85, of Grants Pass died October 10, 2022 at her home. She was born April 16, 1937 in Greenfield Ohio to Charles and Grace Parrett. Betty was raised mostly in California and Oregon. In 1955 in Bakersfield, California she married Donald Bray.
She graduated from Sacramento State College in 1965, teaching at an elementary school in California till 1974. She then moved from Fair Oaks CA to Grants Pass where she was a substitute teacher mainly in special education. After retirement, Betty spent time on her farm and traveled to many places.
Betty belonged to Women’s Aglow Fellowship in Grants Pass where she had been the State Prayer Coordinator as well as President. She traveled all around Oregon giving speeches and teaching about living her life for Jesus Christ.
Her hobbies included traveling, camping, rafting, game nights with friends and hosting parties on her farm.
She is survived by her children; Donald S. Bray (Jackie) of Mesa, AZ and Kelly Breuninger (Ed) of Severance, CO; Brothers Charles Parrett of Grants Pass OR and
George Parrett of San Juan Capistrano, CA; seven grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Betty was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Grace Parrett, her sister Mary McMaster and her husband Donald Bray in 2013.
A Celebration of Life will be 3:00 p.m., Sunday December 4, 2022 at Edgewater Christian Fellowship.
