Gloria Ann (Wood) Bourisaw, age 82, of Rogue River, died Sunday, January 12, 2014 at her home.
Private services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Gloria Ann Wood was born July 7, 1931 in Jamaica, Queens, New York to George Ellsworth & Helen Christine (Meyer) Wood. She worked in the insurance industry from 1949 in Manhattan before moving to Pasadena, California in 1951 continuing to work in insurance in Southern California. In 1994 she retired from Olympic Insurance agency in Burbank, California and moved to Grants Pass. In 2003 she moved to Rogue River.
Her memberships included the San Fernando Valley Insurance Women’s Association and the San Gabriel Women’s Association both in California; Rogue River Church of Christ; and RSVP visiting the sick and elderly.
Her hobbies included traveling, history, and music.
Survivors include her son, David E. Bourisaw and wife Dori of Rogue River, Oregon; a sister, Carole Wood Coughlan of Santa Rosa, California; five grandchildren and one great-grandson; four nieces; two nephews; one great-niece; and three great-nephews.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Frederick E. Wood; and her parents, George E. Wood & Helen C. Wood.
