Glen A. Newman, 72, of Grants Pass, died Monday, May 22, 2006 at Three Rivers Community Hospital.
A memorial service was held at 11:30 a.m., Sunday, May 28, 2006 at St. Pauls Lutheran Church with Pastor Tom Hirsch officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Glen was born October 26, 1933 in Dassel, Minnesota. On June 18, 1961 in Howard Lake, Minnesota he married Darlene R. Wackler. He worked as an electronics technician for Sears for 18 years, RCA Service Company for five years, and Midwest TV for six years. He moved from Minnesota to Grants Pass 18 years ago.
Since moving to Grants Pass he had been a member of St. Pauls Lutheran Church where he was involved as a church elder and in the choir. He also was a member of the Lutheran Church of the Redemption for 24 years and the Josephine County Sportsman’s Association.
His hobbies included hunting especially pheasants and whitetail deer in Montana as well as fishing for Northern Pike Walleyes and at Howard Prairie and Diamond Lake. He also enjoyed camping, playing the guitar and for many years was a part of the Country Drifters, and rock hunting.
In addition to his wife, Darlene Newman of Grants Pass; he is survived by a son, David Newman of Grants Pass; a daughter, Dawn Youngner of Apple Valley, Minnesota; a sister, Ann Williams of Mesquite, Texas; a brother, Richard “Dick” Newman of Roseville, Minnesota; and three grandchildren.
