Gladys Martha Talay

Gladys M. Talay, age 80, of Grants Pass, died March 5, 2023 at her home.

Gladys was born October 29, 1942 in the Bronx, New York. She had an older brother and sister. Gladys loved to dance and she did ballet and danced on pointe while growing up. She was nearly 20 when she met the love of her life, James Thomas Talay. James & Gladys loved to dance together and he would sing to her. After marriage they lived in New York for a time, then lived in Florida and Woodland Hills, California before settling in Grants Pass, Oregon in 1985. Glady was a homemaker and worked part-time at Wal-Mart and Bi-Mart.

Gladys loved Jesus. She loved her family with her whole heart and will be missed greatly.

Her hobbies included dancing, cooking, listening to music and singing along.

Survivors include son James J. Talay; daughter Michelle A. Talay; daughter-in-law Heather K. Talay; grandson Zane A. Talay all of Grants Pass; granddaughter Cassie A. Logan of Hillsboro, Oregon and granddaughter Sabrina M. Mitchell of Avon, Minnesota.

Gladys was preceded in death by her husband James Talay in November 2017.

A funeral service will be at 11:00 a.m., April 1, 2023 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors. Interment will follow at Hawthorne Memorial Gardens.
