Geraldine K. Leighton

Geri K. Leighton, age 82, of Grants Pass, died August 2, 2021 at Asante Ashland Community Hospital.

A viewing will be at 9:30 a.m., August 9, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center in Grants Pass.

A funeral service will begin at 10:30 a.m., August 9, 2021 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints Stake Center in Grants Pass. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park in Grants Pass.

The Leighton family moved to Grants Pass in 1972, in what was then a rural setting on Allen Creek Road, where they raised their family of four children.

Geri was foremost a loving wife, mother and homemaker. Geri was also an avid genealogist and enrolled many of her family into finding, researching and blessing her ancestors.

Geri was caring and nurturing with patience and kindness to everyone she met. She had a special affinity towards missionaries and others in need that she could serve. She loved her family and God, and served a mission for her church along with her husband Don.

She is survived by two sons, Charles and Darren, one daughter, Donna Kay; 16 grandchildren, and 18 great-grandchildren.

Her husband, Don and eldest son, Kenneth, preceded her in death.
