Geraldine "Jeri" Rhodes

Geraldine Rhodes  (Jeri), 103, of Grants Pass died April 1, 2023 at Redwood Terrace Assisted Living Community.

Jeri was born in Ottumwa, Iowa June 5, 1919 to Lena and Chester McGilvrey.

She lived in various places during her childhood and early adulthood until she and her husband James Clinite settled in Santa Barbara where they lived from 1946 until 1959.

They then moved to San Luis Obispo, California where she lived for 43 years and was the HR manager for Sears for many of those years. She was very active in the Elks and Moose Lodges.

After retirement and the death of her second husband, Bill Rhodes, she moved to Grants Pass in 2002.

She started her volunteer career with the Asante Three Rivers Medical Center in 2003 where she was in charge of the blood pressure department for 15 years and enjoyed every minute of it.

She is survived by her son, Tim Clinite and his wife Patti,of Virginia, her daughter, Sue Warren and her husband Clyde Warren of Grants Pass, six grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Jeri’s Life will be on Friday, July 21, 2023 at 11:00 at Hull & Hull Funeral Directors.
