Gerald "Jerry" Kennard

Gerald (Jerry) Lee Kennard was born in Stockton, California on May 30th, 1929. On April 9th, 1949 he married his wife of 70 years and together they have two children, four grandchildren, and two great grandchildren.

Jerry served in the Navy on the USS Hancock from 1952 to 1956 and in 1957 started Jerry’s Top Shop in Indio, California. In 1972 he moved his family and his shop to Grants Pass where his shop continued its previous success.

In January of 2000, he retired to spend more time fishing on his boat, the Artie Mae. It was his joy to take others out and teach them to fish.

His was a kind, compassionate, caring man who would do anything for anyone. He had boundless energy, the highest integrity, and a steadfast love for his Savior, his wife, and family.
Though we will miss him here on earth, we look forward to a joyous reunion in heaven one day.

He is preceded in death by his son Kenneth.
