Georlene "Georgie" Hodges

Georlene “Georgie” Hodges, age 73, of Grants Pass, died Thursday, May 3, 2012 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.

A memorial service will be at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, June 2, 2012 at Calvary Church, 2193 Midway Avenue, Grants Pass. Private interment will be at Inglewood Park Cemetery. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Georgie was born March 28, 1939 in Hawthorne, California to George & Ruth Hodges. In 1960 she graduated with a bachelor’s degree from University of Southern California. She was a social worker for Los Angeles County for 25 years. In 1989 she moved from Redondo Beach, California to Grants Pass.

Georgie was a member of Calvary Church.

She volunteered at Lovejoy Hospice doing pet therapy with her dog, Barney.

Her hobbies included church activities, flower gardening, dog training, camping, hiking and traveling.

Survivors include a brother, Robert “Bob” Hodges and wife Mary Ann of Long Beach, California; nephew, David Hodges and wife Penny Jo and son Hayden all of Longmont, Colorado; and niece, Kelly Lasorsa and daughter Krystal both of Los Alamitos, California; and a dear friend, Mary Ann Squire.
