George David “Dave” Teer, 63, died Monday, June 15th, 2020 at his residence of natural
causes. He was born to Paul and Charlyne Teer on July 10th, 1956, in LaMesa California. The
family moved to the Applegate Valley in 1963. Shortly thereafter they moved to Grants Pass.
Dave graduated from Grants Pass High School in 1975.
Dave proudly served his country by enlisting in the Army and was stationed in Germany for a
tour of duty. He was trained as a truck driver, and was a certified welder. He worked as a
welder in the Dallas Fort Worth area and also spent time planting trees. He attended Rogue
Community College as well as the University of Oregon.
Dave enjoyed working with cars from an early age. He had many project cars through the years and was still driving his favorite and final project, his Toyota 4x4. He had a wry sense of humor and always had a joke ready to amuse one and all. Dave enjoyed spontaneous acts of
extravagant giving and joy.
He cared deeply for his family and especially about his mother. He was willing to tackle tasks
outside of his skill set including remodeling his mother’s bathroom making it handicapped
accessible. He looked after his mother and helped her in many ways. His two brothers were his best friends throughout his life.
Dave was preceded in death by his father Paul E. Teer. He is survived by his mother, Charlyne
Teer and his brothers Paul A. Teer and Henry Teer.
