George Amos Mason Jr

Longtime Cave Junction resident, George Amos Mason Jr, age 74, died Tuesday, January 22, 2008 at his home in a farming accident.

A graveside service will be at 12 noon, Saturday, January 26, 2008 at Laurel Cemetery. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

George was born June 15, 1933 in Salisbury, Pennsylvania. From 1950 to 1954 he served in the United States Navy during the Korean War. On July 3, 1954 he married Dorothy L. Conn.

In addition to his wife of 54 years, Dorothy L. Mason; he is survived by six children, Vickie Marvin and her husband Jess, Ronnie Seibold and her husband Bryan, Debbie Wyatt and her husband Gerald, Shellie McDowell and her husband Mike, Larry Mason and his wife Trina, and Thelma Stephenson and her husband Paul; 18 grandchildren; and seven and a half great-grandchildren.
