Georgann Sims, age 66, of Selma, died Monday, November 12, 2012 at her son’s home.
Family services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
Georgann was born April 7, 1946 in Salt Lake City, Utah to Wilford & Georgia Sims. While raising her family in California as a single mother, Georgann put herself through school and earned a degree in Respiratory Therapy. She later moved to Salt Lake City, Utah and worked as a Respiratory Therapist for 25 years. Nearly eight years ago Georgann retired to Grants Pass and four years ago moved to Selma where she lived with her son.
Her hobbies included traveling worldwide with her friend; camping, fishing, sewing, and canning. She also enjoyed spending time in the outdoors especially around creeks and birds. Georgann especially enjoyed gatherings with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include a son, Paul of Selma; a son Mark and wife Rachelle of Grants Pass; a sister, Mari Beth Bishop of Grants Pass; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by a son, Aaron in 2005; a granddaughter, Nakita; and two brothers, Roger Sims and Matthew Sward.
