Gary Garcia Romele of Port Orford, Oregon since 1999, moved from Rogue River, Oregon.
Gary was born in Inglewood, California on April 16, 1956 to Benardo and Syliva Romele. The family moved to the Santa Cruz, California mountain town of Felton in 1958 where he was raised with his siblings Cathy, Darrell, Tim, Julian and Renee. He attended San Lorenzo Valley High School and at 17 he enlisted into the U.S. Army in 1974. Gary became a Pershing Missel Inspector where he was stationed in Schwäbisch Gmünd, Germany until1978. Gary received the Army commendation medal for Meritorious Service.
In 1978 began working for Lone Star Industries Cement in Davenport, California. He met his wife Stacy Jo Parker of Santa Cruz on September 16th, 1980. They were married November 22, 1980. Gary was a beloved father to 4 children, Garett Nathan Romele born 1981, Arianna Grace Romele born 1982, Connie Jean Romele born 1984, of Santa Cruz California and the youngest, Evan Parker Romele born 1994 in Grants Pass Oregon. Gary worked for the U.S. Postal Service in Cave Junction, Oregon from December 1994 - 1999 where he received a transfer to the Bandon Oregon office.
Gary moved his family to Grants Pass, Oregon in 1988, settling in the Evans Valley in Wimer, Oregon in 1990 where they lived until 1999. Gary moved with Stacy, Connie Jean and Evan to Port Orford on the Southern Oregon coast and lived there until April 3rd 2021.
While living in Port Orford, Gary became the Post Master of Sixes, Oregon, Port Orford, Oregon, and finally Langlois, Oregon where he retired in 2009 due to a medical disability.
Gary was a cartoonist for a hobby and drew comic strips for local papers in Santa Cruz( Woofly) and Port Orford (Lars Laroo). He enjoyed yard sales and sold the treasures he would find on eBay for his other pass time.
Gary enjoyed cruising with his wife and they took vacations over the years to Mexico, Hawaii & Alaska. He had a small farm and raised rabbits, chickens, ducks and goats. Gary also led an online world wide Bible Study daily for 6 years called "Shepherds for Jesus" and was devoted to his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Gary is survived by his wife Stacy, his 4 children and 9 grandchildren. (Son) Garett and his wife Ashley Romele of Murphy Oregon and their children, Bennie, Cassidy & Dean. (Daughter) Arianna Romele and her children Brycen Beck, Ryan Maixner, Monarch and Julian Olson. (Daughter) Connie Koenig of Medford Oregon and her children, Clayton and Jo Jo. (Son) Evan and his wife Violet Romele of Port Orford, Oregon, and his brother Julian and wife Sylvia Romele, and brother Tim Romele.
He was preceded in Death by his Mother Syliva (1986), Father Benardo(2012), Sister Cathrine (1957), Brother Darrell (2017), Sister Renee (2012).
