Francis P. "Rusty" Fox

Francis P. “Rusty” Fox, age 85, of Cave Junction, died Friday, January 22, 2010 at his home.

No services are planned. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Rusty was born April 19, 1924 in Indianapolis, Indiana to Henry M. Fox & Leota V. Fox. He took great pride in serving in the United States Naval Air force from 1943 to 1946. On November 23, 1946 at Holy Cross Rectory in Indianapolis he married Mary O’Callahan. He was formerly employed with IBEW Local 952 an electrician retiring after 30 years. Rusty moved from LaPine to Cave Junction 14 years ago.

He was a member of National Rifle Association. He volunteered with his church and the senior citizens hall.

His hobbies included hunting, fishing, tool sharpening, ham radio, reading, and crossword puzzles. He also enjoyed his computer, loved animals and had two cats when he died.

Rusty was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandpa.

Survivors include three sons, Steven Fox and wife Margie of Redding, California, Donald Fox and wife Ann of Simi Valley, California, and Aaron Fox and wife Letecia of Lancaster, California; a brother, Bob Fox; four grandchildren, Jacob, Austin, Nicole, and Andrew; and great-granddaughter, Ava Fox.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Mary Fox.
