Frances E. Paget Irons

Frances E. Paget Irons, age 87, of Grants Pass, died Sunday, July 3, 2016 at Applegate House.

Frances was born February 21, 1929 in Kansas City, Kansas to Norvel & Marie Paget. She demonstrated a gift for storytelling and art at a young age and was active in high school theatre set design. While raising her family she enjoyed painting portraits, landscapes and clowns. She was employed as a customs clerk for the Union Pacific and Santa Fe Railroads until her retirement. In 2008 she moved from Orange County, California to Grants Pass, Oregon.

Besides painting, her hobbies included ancient history, gardening, writing and her pets.

Frances attended Parkway Christian Center since 2008 and was kindly embraced from the first day.

Survivors include a daughter, Francey Marie True of Grants Pass; one grandchild and three great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 16, 2016 at the Fellowship Hall at Parkway Christian Center. Interment will follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Grants Pass, Oregon.
