Elizabeth Emma Soehner

Elizabeth Emma Soehner, age 86, of Grants Pass, died Friday, October 17, 2008 at her daughter’s home in Grants Pass.

No services are planned. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Liz was born December 17, 1921 in Turner, Michigan to Joseph & Agnes (Moravek) Kubicek, the second youngest of nine children. In October 1941 she married Carl George Soehner before he left to serve in the United States Army during World War II. Liz lived and worked in Florida and California over the years, retiring to Grants Pass.

She loved her many pets and was always ready to find humor in life. From her humble beginnings, she worked hard and always tried to inspire others to improve their lives. She will be missed by family and friends.

Survivors include three daughters, Carole Jean Berggren (Cedric), Rosemary Soehner, and Carla Pulsifer (Harry); a sister, Mary Koin (John) and a brother, John Kubicek; three grandchildren, Deborah Painter (Allen), Diane Harshman (Victor) and Daniel Berggren; and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband Carl; a son, Carl George Soehner Jr; three brothers, Bohmil, Joseph, and Frederick; and sisters, Rose, Agnes and Ann.
