Elizabeth "Betty" Hinkley

Elizabeth “Betty” Hinkley, age 81, of Grants Pass, died Tuesday, July 21, 2009 at her home.

A memorial service will be at 1:30 p.m., Wednesday, July 29, 2009 at Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses, 2412 Williams Hwy, Grants Pass, Oregon. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Betty was born October 23, 1927 in Fraizer, Idaho. On January 7, 1945 she married Louis Hinkley. She lived in Florence for 12 years before moving to Grants Pass four years ago. She was a Jehovah Witness.

She was a past member and past president of Eagles Lodge FOE in Lynnwood, Washington.

Her hobbies included reading, gardening, traveling, walks on the beach, dancing and she always had dogs and cats.

Survivors include three daughters, Dora Rhea of Cresent, Oregon, Carol Berg of Edmonds, Washington and Elsa Hinkley of Grants Pass; two sons, Emery Hinkley of Bend, Oregon and Carl Hinkley of Amity, Oregon; eight grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 59 years, Louis Hinkley and a son, Gary Hinkley.
