Elinor K. Nichols, age 90, of Grants Pass, died Wednesday, December 5, 2007 at Highland House Nursing & Rehabilitation Center.
A graveside service will be at 12 noon, Saturday, December 8, 2007 at Hillcrest Memorial Park with Pastor Wes Winn officiating. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

She was born Elinor Kathryn Dean April 9, 1917 in Carrollton, Missouri to Page & Willa (Arnold) Dean. In 1935 she graduated from Carrollton High School. She moved to Kansas City, Missouri where she attended Beauty School. From 1945 to 1959 she lived in Arizona. While living in both Missouri and Arizona she worked as a beautician. In 1959 she moved to Grants Pass where she owned and operated Elinor’s Beauty Salon and the K Street Beauty Shop retiring in 1985.
She was a member of First Christian Church where she was involved in the Ladies Bible Study and enjoyed baking for Christmas Bazaar bake sales.
She was an accomplished seamstress and sewed for her daughter. She also enjoyed card playing with friends especially pinochle and also bingo at Holiday Park and senior living.
Survivors include a daughter, Deana Snider of Grants Pass; a son, Bradley Nichols of Clackamas; three sisters, Annabelle Porterfield of San Antonio, Texas, Dorothy Agee of Overland Park, Kansas, and Rosemary Gibbons of Olathe, Kansas; four grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
