Eleanor L. Henderson

Eleanor L. Henderson, age 92, of Grants Pass, died Saturday, March 1, 2008 at her home.
No local services are planned. Private interment will be at El Carmelo Cemetery in Pacific Grove, California. Southern Oregon Cremation Services are in charge of arrangements.

Eleanor was born March 17, 1915 in Oakland, California to George & Mary Lester. She lived in Scotts Valley, California for many years. Together with her husband Cecil W. Henderson, she owned and operated a butane gas company and locker plant in Monterey, California. On September 11, 2001 she moved from Scotts Valley to Grants Pass.
She volunteered at hospitals in both Scotts Valley and Santa Cruz.
Survivors include two daughters, Katherine “Kay” Johnson of Williams and Marilyn Henderson of Davenport, Washington; four grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Cecil W. Henderson.

Afterglow
