Elaine Sandberg, 69, of Selma, died Thursday, April 14, 2011 at Rogue Valley Medical Center.
A memorial service will be held 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 23, 2011 at Community Bible Church, 113 S. Caves Avenue, Cave Junction. Please contact Illinois Valley Fire District for more information 541.592.2225. Illinois Valley Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.

Elaine was born May 22, 1941 in Porterville, California to Tony & Helen Salsa. She was raised in Visalia, California where she attended schools and graduated from high school. As a young lady, Elaine was one of 12 girls working for Columbia Records with their mail order record club where they roller skated around the warehouse pulling records to fulfill orders. On October 25, 1968 in Santa Maria, California she married Dale Sandberg. She moved from Santa Maria to Selma 33 years ago.
Elaine has been a Christian all her married life. She attended several local churches over the years, including Selma Baptist Church where she taught Sunday School; Calvary Chapel in Cave Junction; and currently Fountain of Life Assembly of God in Cave Junction.
She was an avid flower gardener and digital photographer and enjoyed using her computer. She volunteered as the Illinois Valley Fire District photographer.
Survivors include her husband, Dale Sandberg of Selma, Oregon; three sons, Gary Lee of Grants Pass, Oregon, Tony Lee of Central Point, Oregon, and Daniel Sandberg of Carlisle, Indiana; a brother, Rodger Salsa of Morro Bay, California; and ten grandchildren.
