Elaine Gaylor, age 49, of Myrtle Creek, died Friday, September 2, 2016 at her home.
Elaine was born April 7, 1967 in Cooperstown, New York to Burton & Margaret Barton. At age 9, when her father died, she moved from New York to Nashville. Elaine moved from Glendale, Oregon and moved to Myrtle Creek where she has lived for 38 years.
Elaine was a reborn Christian and attended South Umpqua Christian Center in Myrtle Creek. She volunteered at St Vincent de Paul in Myrtle Creek for over 10 years.
She enjoyed her animals and was a member of Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon. She especially enjoyed being a homemaker.
Memorial donations may be made to Wildlife Safari in Winston, Oregon.
Survivors include her husband, Jim Gaylor of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; daughter, Cassie Balliew of Myrtle Creek, Oregon; two sons, Michael Barton of Riddle and Erik Gaylor of Winston, Oregon; four sisters, Gloria Munson, Mary Evelyn Loehr, Johanna Schrom and Bridget Schrom, all of New York.; two brothers, Harvey Schrom of Glendale, Oregon and Burt Barton Jr of Myrtle Creek, Oregon and five grandchildren.
Preceding her in death was three sisters, Golda Duncan, Lola Mould and Freda Koncelik.
Family services will be held. Hull & Hull Funeral Directors are in charge of arrangements.
